Rome had gladiators, renaissance saw lance fighting, and the old wild west had pistol duels. Today? We have mixed martial arts. Few sport can match the intensity and rawness of this sport. While many follow it just for the brutal action it provides, some true mma fans appreciate it for the skills involved in each match. MMA is simply one of the most demanding sport in the business right now. There's a reason it used to be held underground, it's simply not for the faint-hearted or for those who'd rather watch synchronized swimming. It's an activity that can be as physically demanding as marathon while at the same time as heart-wrenching as high-stakes texas holdem poker. Enter Ed Ratcliff, a promising MMA star who has the potential to be the face of the sport.
